Tigaki, a tourist resort located on the north coast of Kos. Tigaki is situated about 11 km from Kos town and 17 km from the airport, which can be reached in around 15-20 minutes. Tigaki is based around the fantastic and huge Tigaki Beach as well as the central road that leads down to the beach. The main road is where you’ll find the bars, restaurants, shops, travel agents, car and motorbike hire companies as well as a large supermarket..

The nightlife is pretty low key with a relaxed meal, drink and maybe a bit of karaoke being popular, this is a family resort after all. There are a few cocktail bars, some of which stay open late into the night and play music but no real clubs. If you want a more lively night then you can always get a taxi over to Kos town where you’ll find

For a day out, the Lido water park is around 10 minutes away and has some fantastic slides, a lazy river and a slightly scary wave machine as well as a section for really young kids to splash about so a definite for those with a family. For history buffs, the Asklepion is just 10 minutes away and a must see whilst in Kos, it’s a huge 3 story ruin that dates back over 2000 years and was the site that Hippocrates taught medicine.
